Nice documentary on consumer culture
This was aired on Sunday, but can be found here: http://areena.yle.fi/video/687335 . Motivating for us designers of the web 2.0 content. Meaning over matter :)
Oh, just to mention I have difficulties in posting links in these texts, but the titles actually are links.

Here's a website with lots of links and information about web and social media. There was a conference on the subject in Munich last week. Perhaps you'll find something interesting to your group.

the rreveal is speculated to be on tuesday 26th january. ie tomorrow! maybe its worth watching the party online somehow. apple stocks are up high too.

This PEW is an American research institute of some kind, personally I got in touch with it via Stefana Broadbent's tedtalk How the Internet enables intimacy

Is Google killing general knowledge?
Interesting debate (if a little UK-centric) about the impact of the web on General knowledge. It questions our reliance on the Internet as it becomes easier to find out answers - do we need to store all of them in our memories any more? it also talks about how education is changing (in Britain).
If your group has been talking about issues surrounding Wikipedia, the sharing of knowledge through the web or perhaps the Internet in education then this article may be of interest to you.

I totally recommend subscribing to the Logic+Emotion blog by this Dave Armano guy, he seems to be kind of a guru:

Welcome.
I'm pleased to start the blog space for Design Strategy & Innovation held at TAIK this year.
This space can be used as a way of sharing ideas, thoughts and links with the rest of the group. It will be great to see a discussion develop over the course of the Module concerning the lectures and group work.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Theo
